In short, Lifestyle Integrated is a group of creative individuals with collectively several lifetimes of real boating experience. Through our unique combination of print, video and internet media, we are also dedicated to communicating our passion for safe, responsible and exciting recreational boating to both new and long-time boaters.

Collectively, our media mix offers something that no other company can - a single source for an integrated approach to marine marketing, which targets existing and “wannabe” boaters. Individually, these media provide authoritative information and compelling features on recreational boating - each a recognized entity in its own right.

Our Properties

Our Media Perspective

We have magazine properties.

Boats&Places is one of Canada’s longest running recreational boating magazines with subscribers coast-to-coast.  We include new & used boat profiles, electronics articles, boating tips, Do-It-Yourself pieces, and Canadian boating destination features. Boats&Places publishes six issues a year: four seasonal issues (Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter) and two annual issues (Buyers Guide and Test). Circulation is paid and promoted through Safe Boater, Canadian Boaters Alliance and the “Discover Cruising DVD” (a one-year complimentary subscription is included in each purchase).

Boating Ontario Magazine is Canada’s largest circulation magazine dedicated to marina customers in the province. Marina distributors are listed on the website.  The magazine's cover is personalized with “Compliments of…(Marina Name)". The magazine covers every type of recreational boating with a section dedicated to the genres: Cottage Recreational, Cruising, PWC, Fishing, Paddle and Sailing. The magazine is lifestyle focused with a Q&A page at the end of each section. Boating Ontario is distributed twice a year (Spring and Summer).

Lifestyle also publishes the trade magazine MARINAnews for the Ontario Marine Operators Association (OMOA).  This reaches many of Canada’s top marinas, marine retailers and marine trade professionals seven times a year.

We have video properties.

PowerBoat Television, now in its 19th season, is North America’s longest running recreational boating television show. The show's magazine format includes a new boat test, a used boat profile, a feature destination, a Do-It-Yourself feature and “boat locker tips.”  The show runs on conventional television and Outdoor Life Network in Canada, as well as on the Water Channel in the United States.

Discover Cruising DVD series is a set of two-hour long cruising guides of each of the boating areas covered, including helicopter aerials, water shots and chart integrations. Lifestyle has produced 5 five Lakes DVDs that have sold over 15,000 copies in three years. These DVDs feature: the 30,000 Islands, the North Channel, the Thousand Islands and St. Lawrence, the Trent-Severn Waterway, and Lake Ontario. Plans are already underway to film Lake Erie in Summer 2008.

We have Internet properties.

Lifestyle manages Canada’s two largest boating websites. Boatdealers.ca has 6,000 boats representing dozens of boat dealers, all fully searchable by various criteria.  Boattest.ca has 600 written and video boat testsfrom Boats&Places magazine and PowerBoat Television, also searchable and free.

The combined web traffic of these two sites is 1,000,000 visitors and tracking to 8,000,000 page views or impressions. Banners are available in various configurations.

Integration

Lifestyle integrates content across its various platforms and extends its production investment, while enhancing the viewing, reading and web experience. Lifestyle also integrates its marketing for advertising partners by creating dealer tags in magazines, television and on its internet sites. Boat manufacturers take advantage of this by enhancing dealer opportunities in their networks. Lifestyle is committed to delivering effective measurable media that increase the sales and profitability of its marketing partners.

In Summary

Together with our clients, we write, shoot, produce, edit, market and distribute all our properties from in-house. The talents of the very individuals who conceive the original idea remain an involved part of the project to completion. Perhaps that’s why our clients return year after year.

Our clients tell us regularly at the end of a project that they are not only delighted with the finished product, but that they had fun doing it with us. We feel the same way. If your company would like to work with us, please contact us.
