Boats & Places

As one of Canada's longest running recreational boating magazines, Boats&Places has established a benchmark of publishing excellence, helping thousands of boaters from coast-to-coast better enjoy their favourite leisure activity.

Launched in January 1996 as Today’s Boating, the magazine achieved its goal of becoming the largest circulation recreational boating magazine in Canada with the very first issue.

Today, Boats&Places magazine’s six issues (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, as well as the Test and Buyers Guide annuals) continue to be the largest and most widely read marine publication in Canada by both the public and industry insiders. Our editorial staff has adopted a focus that ensures the magazine’s content – from boat tests to new products to feature length destination and how–to articles – serves the needs and wants of all Canadian boaters, including promoting safe and responsible operation as part of its mandate.

With articles that provide hands-on help as well as entertainment, news and information, Boats&Places is custom-built to introduce boaters to the products they need and want, including the latest in boats and boating gear. There are also reports on the boating destinations they dream of visiting (around the corner and across the continent) and the people who bring it all together.

The Boats&Places team of columnists and boat-testers is rooted in boating as a sport and pastime, with years of experience and an endless supply of enthusiasm for boats and boating. Click HERE for to read our current issue online.

Boating Ontario

Launched in April 2006, Lifestyle Integrated's lifestyle publication has 50,000 guaranteed circulation through the members of the Ontario Marine Operators Association, making it Canada's largest circulation magazine in the province dedicated to marina customer. With the Boating Ontario being Ontario's only total market coverage magazine targeting boaters and cottagers, readership exceeds 135,000 per issue at a conservative 2.7 readers per copy. The magazine is distributed twice a year (Spring and Summer).

In 2010, over 100 marina and boat dealers across the province who are members of the Ontario Marine Operators Association signed on to distribute more than 50,000 copies of Boating Ontario magazine free-of-charge to their customers. The only way to receive a copy is through a participating OMOA member, who sign up FREE each year to have copies personalized with "Compliments of ... (their marina name)" printed on each cover.

The magazine is segmented by boating category with dedicated editorial covering: Cottage, Water's Edge, Cruising, PWC, Fishing, Paddle and Sailing.
