After more than five years of publication, Boats&Places has established a benchmark of publishing excellence on the recreational boating scene, helping thousands of boaters better enjoy their favourite leisure activity.

Launched in January 1996 as Today’s Boating, the magazine achieved its goal of becoming the largest circulation recreational boating magazine in Canada with the very first issue.

Today, Boats&Places magazine’s six issues (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, as well as the Test and Buyers Guide annuals) continue to be the largest and most widely read marine publication in Canada by both the public and industry insiders. Our editorial board has adopted a focus that ensures the magazine’s content – from boat tests to new products to feature length destination and how–to articles – serves the needs and wants of all Canadian boaters, including promoting safe and responsible operation as part of its mandate.

With articles that provide hands-on help as well as entertainment, news and information, Boats&Places is custom-built to introduce boaters to the products they need and want, including the latest in boats and boating gear. There are also reports on the boating destinations they dream of visiting (around the corner and across the continent) and the people who bring it all together.

The Boats&Places team of columnists and boat-testers is world-class, rooted in boating as a sport and pastime, with years of experience and an endless supply of enthusiasm for boats and boating.
